Is Ohio The Florida of Today?
Billmon seems to think so. Let the rumor mill begin. Yes we here on the "look at the brightside" camp can't seem to just "let it go" on a loss no matter how small. I personally hate the fact that Hackett lost I tend to think that every seat counts in today's politics. Deanism is strong in my veins and the Hackett campaign was an excellent display of what we in the "we have the power" camp can do. If the folks in Washington would lend a helping hand once in a while who knows how many more people we can convince to come over from the dark side.
I digress. Billmon makes an excellent point that perhaps could've and should've been brought up during the campagn. If you are a politician you must be prepared for all types of things being blamed on you. Schmidt's home county was possibly one of the fraudulent ones in the November Presidential election (for those of us who know the facts and believe that is what happened in November). So perhaps next time Hackett can drive that muck and smash Schmidt's face with it. Hopefully the inquiry Billmon is asking for will happen. I am sure Ken Blackwell is still operating the big Wizard of Oz machine down there in electionville Ohio. This time, perhaps someone besides John Conyers will pay some attention to the man (or woman) behind the curtain.
